Robert A. DeCarlo holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Philadelphia College of Art. His career as a creative professional has included package design, advertising design, and paper product design. However, the bulk of his career has been spent in the flooring industry where he became internationally renown as a forecaster of color and style trends, presenting his research to audiences in the US, Europe, and Asia. He was a long-standing member of the Color Marketing Group and served on its board of Directors. In recent years he has returned to his first love of painting, and has won numerous awards. 

Mr. DeCarlo resides in Chattanooga, TN with his wife. They have three children and four grandchildren.
